Canada’s Parliament Rocked by Allegations of Treason
Our top story is all about foreign spies, assumed to be Chinese or Indian agents working as Federal MP’s, acting against the best interests of Canadians on Parliament Hill.
The current version of the story, as epitomized in the June 10th, 2024 Politico post, “Canada’s Parliament rocked by allegations of treason,” notes that:
A bombshell report by Canadian lawmakers has unnerved Parliament Hill, alleging that unnamed politicians have been covertly working with foreign governments.
The revelation in heavily redacted findings released this week by an all-party national security committee adds intrigue to a separate and ongoing inquiry into foreign interference in Canada’s 2019 and 2021 elections.
Of course, Politico is an American online publication so it can cut to the chase while Canadian government funded legacy media must be far more circumspect. The June 8th, 2024 CBC News post, “A report claims certain parliamentarians colluded with foreign states — could they be charged?,” notes only that:
Some parliamentarians were accused this week of conspiring with foreign governments, [1Capture5] but their exact numbers and their identities remain a mystery to the public — and too many of their colleagues.
The National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians (NSICOP) — a group of MPs and senators who hold top secret security clearances and are permanently bound to secrecy under the Security of Information Act — released a heavily redacted report on foreign political interference Monday.
In it, NSICOP alleged that some MPs and senators are "wittingly" helping foreign governments like China and India meddle in Canadian politics.
The June 7th, 2024 National Post article, “'Shocking,' 'abusive': Liberals blasted for blocking over 1,000 documents from foreign interference committee,” suggests only that the Trudeau Liberals are “abusing the principle of cabinet confidence to block government watchdogs from doing their work.”
Parliament needs more information, the opposition insists.
The June 9th, 2024 CTV News post, “No agreement among parties on releasing names of 'witting' foreign interference participants,” notes the lack of consensus among political parties to do anything whatsoever about the situation over fear that MPs involved in Chinese spying could belong to any party.
Only the June 10th, 2024 Hill Times post, “Canada should criminalize foreign interference in nominations and political party processes,” seems to strike a reasonable tone.
According to the Hill Times, treasonous behavior should be punished.
Editors Note:
On Tuesday, Green Party Leader Elizabeth May said there's no list of disloyal MPs in the unredacted NSICOP report released last week.
The implication is that there is no MP treason going on after all.
As outlined in the June 11th, 2024 CBC News post, “Green Leader Elizabeth May says there's no list of disloyal MPs in unredacted NSICOP report,” May says she's read the original version of a highly-publicized intelligence watchdog's report on foreign interference and doesn't believe any of her House of Commons colleagues knowingly betrayed their country.
According to the CBC post:
May has a top security clearance allowing her to see classified intelligence and was granted access to the unredacted version of NSICOP Monday night.
She said reactions to the report since it was tabled last week have triggered a "totally understandable media firestorm, which in my view is overblown."
There’s no immediate word on why the Trudeau government provided May with a copy of the classified NSICOP report, then allowed her to vouch for the independence of Ottawa MP’s.

Federal Bill C-59 & Censorship
There’s a lot of potential for propaganda and censorship related to the upcoming Federal Bill C-59, depending on the perspective you approach the bill from.
According to Environmental Defence, the non-government organization championing the legislation, the bill is not an “undemocratic gag order.”
As outlined in their May 31st, 2024 post, “Statement in response to the Government of Alberta’s attack on greenwashing amendments in Bill C-59.” it is instead legislation “that simply demands companies tell the truth.”
But others disagree.
The January 31st, 2024 MacDonald Laurier Institute post, “Bill C-59 – improving competition law – or inadvertently making things worse?: Aaron Wudrick for Inside Policy” calls the law, essentially an omnibus initiative to implement various measures related to the spring federal budget and fall economic statement, as likely to cause more harm than good.
And this was before the last minute additions to the bill.
As outlined in the May 31st, 2024 CTV News Calgary post [2Capture5], “'All of the voices': Smith pushes back against Ottawa's gag order on the energy sector,” several last minute amendments have been added to the legislation, which are causing concern in the Alberta government and elsewhere.
The post quotes Alberta Premier Daniel Smith, who said at a conference on Friday:
A prime example of this is there was some last-minute amendments to the federal Budget Implementation Act to make it illegal for energy companies to talk about their environmental performance, which is bananas, because it's our energy companies that are at the forefront of doing these amazing environmental innovations.
On Wednesday, Alberta Environment Minister Rebecca Schulz issued a statement about the federal government's change, “which threatened fines and jail time for Canada's oil and gas industry that try to defend their record on the environment.”
Schulz went on to say that if the amendment to Bill C-59 goes through, it could offer environmentalists an avenue to bring claims against oil and gas companies:
Any company not willing to risk millions of dollars in fines and legal fees will be forced to stay silent. And that is exactly the outcome that Minister of Environment and Climate Change Steven Guilbeault and the federal Liberal-NDP-Bloc Québécois alliance wants to happen.
The consensus, as outlined in the June 8th, 2024 True North on YouTube post, “Alberta gears up to fight federal censorship,” is that the bill limits what independent energy companies can say about their environmental programs and is essentially, backdoor censorship.
Air Crash Claims Another Independent Politician
Another controversial international politician is missing in a presumed air crash.
As outlined in the June 10th, 2024 India TV post, “Plane carrying Malawi's Vice President, nine others, goes missing: Report,” an aircraft carrying Malawi Vice President Saulos Chilima, his wife Mary and other officials went "off the radar" after taking off from Malawi's capital of Lilongwe earlier today.
As noted in the April 2nd, 2024 All Africa post, “Malawi: High Court Rebuffs Chilima - Says It's Premature to Seek Disclosures As They Are Sensitive,” Chilima was setting up to run for the Malawi presidency but was being hampered by corruption charges seemingly instituted by political opponents.
Will Chilima end up like Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash on May 19th, 2024?
Only time will tell.
The EUs Conservative Backlash
It’s election season in Europe and as outlined in the June 10th, 2024 BBC News post, “EU elections: Europe's night of election drama capped by Macron bombshell | BBC News,” France is the first up to bat.
Here’s a quick overview of the EU election results from the June 10th, 2024 Bloomburg on YouTube post, “Europe Faces Political Uncertainty After Elections.”
The backlash against current incumbents in government is expected to last throughout the year, influencing event the November 2024 US presidential elections and carry over into the Canadian Federal elections, currently expected to occur in late October, 2025.
No Definitive Scientific Proof CO2 is Bad
And finally tonight, there is no definitive scientific proof that CO2 is responsible for the slight warming of the global climate we’re noticed since we’ve started tracking temperatures, at least according to the June 9th, 2024 Mongo Minds on Bitchute post, “No definitive scientific proof CO2 responsible for the slight warming of the global climate.”
