Another Trump Assassination Attempt, Canadian Parliament Returns for Contentious Fall Session, Canadian Political Prisoners & UK Authorities Begin to Arrest Citizens for Social Media posts.
Another Trump Assassination Attempt.
CNN is reporting that the suspect in the latest assassination attempt against former president and current US presidential candidate Donald Trump has been arrested and charged with gun crimes.
As outlined in the September 16th, 2024 CNN post, “Suspect in apparent Trump assassination attempt charged with gun crimes,” the suspect in the attempt, Ryan Wesley Routh has been charged on two counts:
… including possession of a firearm while a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
A detention hearing is set for next Monday and he will remain in jail while awaiting trial.
Authorities suspect Routh, who owns a small construction company in Hawaii, was planning to attack the former president as he played a round of golf on Sunday.
As noted in the September 16th, 2024 CNN post, “Trump safe after being targeted in second apparent assassination attempt,” a Secret Service agent spotted a rifle barrel and targeting scope sticking out of the fence of the golf course and “immediately engaged” with the person, by firing at least one shot at the perceived scope, but missed.
The suspect managed to elude agents initially, but was apprehended alive, later in the day.
Records from the Guilford County Sheriff's Office show 74 arrests and over 100 charges laid against Routh between 1996 and 2014. Routh had also criticized Trump on social media and seems to be a staunch supporter of Ukraine in its war against Russia.
Curiously enough, Routh has been quoted in multiple legacy media outlets on a variety of topics, including the war in the Ukraine.
The September 16th,2024 Courageous Discourse on Substack post, “Would Be Assassin is a Media Darling,” lists quotes published in FT News, Semafor, Azerbaycan24, the NY Times and the Taiwan News.
Although social media channels have attempted to scrub Routh’s social media posts, independent outlets have managed to put together a series of connections to the US military and intelligence community.
At the very least, its difficult to understand how a person with 74 prior arrests in the US, managed to get into the Ukraine in 2022 to promote their cause, assist in recruiting US citizen’s into the Ukrainian military and get photographed in a war zone with AZOV brigade soldiers.
It’s almost as if elements of the US government military and intelligence community want the public to know how opposed they are to a second term for the 45th US president.
Independent media commentators are having a field day:
The September 16th, 2024 Viva Frei on Rumble post, “MSM Brainwashed American-Turned-Ukrainian Asset Tries to Kill Trump? Viva Frei Live” is indicative of this approach.
There’s also the September 16th, 2024 Styxhexenhammer666 on Bitchute post, “The Trump Assassin Is Predictably a Left Wing CIA Adjacent Merc,” where the commentator suggested that rightwing Trump supporters are more difficult to brainwash than leftwing Biden/Harris supporters.
And finally there’s Alex Jones and his September 16th, 2024 @RealAlexJones on “X” post, “Monday Bombshell Broadcast! Secret Service Confirms Trump’s Sunday Golf Game Was a Snap Decision, Indicating That The CIA-Connected Anti-Trump Would-Be Assassin Had Inside Help!”
So what happens next? Stay tuned.

Canadian Parliament Returns for Contentious Fall Session
The Canadian Parliament has returned for a fall session, expected to continue until December. As outlined in the September 16th, 2024 CTV News post, “What to expect as MPs return to the House of Commons for dynamic fall sitting,” Parliament’s return comes:
… as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is facing persistent election pressure from Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, whose party maintained a definitive lead over the Liberals in public opinion polls all summer.
Trudeau is also contending with the loss of assumed support from the NDP after Jagmeet Singh “ripped up” the two parties’ supply-and-confidence agreement, declaring a desire to spend the rest of this Parliament going vote-by-vote.
Despite what the legacy news might want to tell you, the real problem needing to be dealt with in this session is immigration, housing and taxes.
As noted in the September 12th, 2024 Rebel News post, “Canadians are getting fed up with mass immigration,” Canadians are almost uniformly opposed to the current immigration levels under the Trudeau Liberals.
As outlined in the September 11th, 2024 Kelowna Now post, “Poilievre promises 'mathematical formula' to cap Canada's population growth amid 'out of control' immigration,” even Tory Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre has bowed to public pressure and said he would introduce a “mathematical formula” to cap immigration, if he becomes prime minister.
And the September 3rd, 2024 Rebel News post, “Canada will become a third-world country': Maxime Bernier sounds alarm on mass immigration,” notes that only Bernier’s Peoples Party of Canada (PPC), a political party without parliamentary representation typically ignored by legacy pundits, is sounding the alarm over uncontrolled and excessive immigration.
The side effects of excessive and uncontrolled immigration into Canada are becoming obvious.
The Canadian public seems to finally be beginning to notice the obvious:
The September 12th, 2024 CBC News post, “Canada is getting poorer when compared to its wealthy peers, data shows,” notes that, while increasing immigration grows the total GDP, it doesn’t necessarily benefit individuals or Canadian citizen’s.
The September 11th, 2024 Bloomberg post, “Businesses see less opportunity in Canada’ amid declining capital investment: report,” notes that less funds are being invested in the Canadian economy and investment has been falling since 2015.
There’s also the September 13th, 2024 CBC News post on “Canada’s Sliding economy” which the conservative party repackaged and republished as the September 13th, 2024 Pierre Poilievre on Youtube post, “I can’t Believe CBC let this on the air.”
There is also the international situation with 159 Participants getting prepared to adopt a new BRIC’s payment system, designed to bypass the western petrodollar regime and its SWIFT payment system.
And then there are all sorts of other silly plans and plots afloat designed to either destroy or bolster the current international regime Trump’s Crypto Venture) and a general, ongoing perception that everything is falling apart.
Canada will be a part of this, although Canadian politicians seem to want to ignore the situation.
If nothing else, MP’s in all parties will grapple with these and other issues over the next few months, mostly by publicly insulting each other in Parliament but not doing much else.
Canadian Political Prisoners.
Four distinct sets of Canadian political prisoners, arrested charged and convicted in Canadian Courts for objecting to Canadian edicts imposed during the great pandemic of 2020 - 2022, are also in the news this week:
As outlined in the September 13th, 2024 CBC News post, “Trial of convoy protest leaders concludes,” the trial of Tamara Lich and Chris Barber, accused in the legacy media of “orchestrating the February 2022 demonstration that took over downtown Ottawa,” but only charged in court with “mischief, intimidation and obstruction,” has almost come to a formal end after over a year in session.
The date for “bringing down the decision” will be set on November 26th, 2024 according to the CBC post.
But as outlined in the September 13th, 2024 CTV News post, “Yearlong criminal trial of 'Freedom Convoy' organizers comes to an end,” a verdict on the case might not be provided by the court for another six more months, or maybe even longer.
The post quoted Justice Heather Perkins-McVey, who presided over the case, as stating, "I don’t know in this moment when I will be in a position to give my decision."
As outlined in the September 13th, 2024 Global News post, “Premier Danielle Smith praises jury system after Coutts protest verdict in Alberta,” the Alberta premier says the jury has spoken and needs to be respected in the case of Anthony Olienick and Chris Carbert, two men found guilty for their actions at the 2022 Coutts border blockade.
Smith has previously expressed support and sympathy for COVID protesters and her latest statements are considered a bit of a rejection of her earlier, although implied support.
As outlined in the September 10th, 2024 Freedom Forum post, “Two of Coutts Four Sentenced to Six and a Half Years in Prison,” both Olienick and Carbert are expected to appeal their decision which, to independent observers seems excessive for the charges the two were convicted of and the time they were held in prison before the trial began.
Pastor Art Pawlowski’s court conviction for giving a speech at the Coutt’s border blockade in February 2022 is being reviewed.
The September 10th, 2024 Rebel News on Bitchute post, “Live Updates: Pastor Artur Pawlowski appeals conviction after giving sermon to Coutts protesters,” the polish Canadian street pastor was convicted of giving “politically charged speeches” during the protests surrounding the blockade.
And finally, and according to the September 12th, 2024 Epoch Times post, “RCMP Members Were Disciplined for Participating in Freedom Convoy Protests,” notes that:
Members of the RCMP who participated in the anti-COVID restrictions protests of winter 2022 were disciplined, the federal police force has confirmed.
RMCP spokesperson Sgt. Kim Chamberland told The Epoch Times in a statement that further details about the number of members involved or the type of sanctions they received cannot be provided, since breaches to the RCMP’s Code of Conduct “are not associated with specific events in time.”
The participation of RCMP members in the Freedom Convoy and associated protests in 2022 was first covered by Blacklock’s Reporter in late August, citing a briefing document for former RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki.
By the second year of the great pandemic of 2020 - 2022, the Justin Trudeau minority Liberal government was under increased public pressure to scale back the edicts restricting healthcare options, commerce, free movement and free speech, which were enacted ostensibly to halt the spread of the Covid-19 virus and “misinformation” about the virus, beginning in 2020.
This public pressure exploded into public protests in February 2022 in Ottawa, Coutt’s Alberta and other regions across Canada.
The back of these completely nonviolent protests were broken by the Federal imposition of the “Emergencies Act,” essentially a declaration of marital law, on February 14th, 2022.
While the protests mostly succeeded in their aim of removing the edicts enacted during the pandemic, Canadian courts have since been attempting to deal with the consequences of criminalizing the legitimate political protesters who were successful in achieving their aims.
Other western nations are dealing with the same problem, the same government overreach and complacency, and the same free speech issues.
