In 2008, a person (or maybe several) operating under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto published the first bitcoin “white paper.” The paper included an outline for the first blockchain peer-to-peer database and paved the way for groundbreaking applications of blockchain in different sectors.
No one seems to know the true identity of Nakamoto. As outlined in the March 7th, 2024 Axios post, “The Satoshi mystery: Bitcoin's anonymous creator and a $70 billion fortune,” if the real Satoshi is alive and in control of his bitcoin keys, he would now have access to a $70Bln dollar bitcoin fortune grown from the tiny pool of bitcoins set aside for personal use fifteen years ago.
