Canadian Universities Targeted by Pro-Palestinian Protesters

US campuses aren’t the only targets of large groups of well organized protesters objecting to Israeli army and government actions in in the Middle East.

US campuses aren’t the only targets of large groups of well organized protesters objecting to Israeli army and government actions in in the Middle East.

As outlined in the April 30th, 2024 National Post article, “Anti-Israel protests spread across Canadian university campuses to UBC, uOttawa,” protests originally restricted to McGill University in Montreal, the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver and the University of Ottawa are growing and likely to soon include the University of Toronto and others.

At McGill, as outlined in the April 30th, 2024 CTV News post, “McGill requests 'police assistance' over pro-Palestinian encampment,” the UBC administration issued a press release on Tuesday from McGill President Deep Saini, who called the encampment a "difficult and complex situation.”
