RFK Jr. is Neither Absolutely Good Nor Totally Evil, the Children’s Aid Society Wants More Money from the Ontario Government, plus Why Children Hate Schooling and Adults Turn out the Way They Do!
RFK Jr. is Neither Absolutely Good Nor Totally Evil
We live in a world full of absolutes facilitated through the massive amounts of propaganda thrown at us by governments, corporations and activists fueled by decades of conditional training at providing the “correct” answers in our educational system.
This propaganda mostly defaults to a standard, well understood pattern.
An example of this is the pushback surrounding the incoming Trump administration’s nomination of activist lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the next Secretary of Housing and Human Services (HHS).
Most of the pushback, as outlined in posts like the November 15th, 2024 Jon Rappoport on Substack post“Mind-control playbook after Kennedy’s nomination to head up HHS,” is scripted in predictable ways.
The good guys and the bad guys, depending on your politics, say something absolute and then the other side responds with the absolute inverse. Both sides set up “straw men” arguments intended to inflame, not inform.
For example, according to Rappoport, the “shithole swamp-creature bureaucratic professionals” say “Kennedy has no experience running a highly complex agency (the US Department of Health and Human Services).”
Rappoport then reverses this point to argue against RFK’s inexperience:
You mean he (Kennedy) doesn’t know how to organize business as usual? He can’t direct researchers who produce meaningless misdirected useless lying studies?
He doesn’t know how to make sure highly toxic new drugs are approved for public use? He doesn’t know how to collude properly with pharmaceutical companies?
He’s inexperienced in hiding data which reveal the grotesque harm vaccines are creating?
Rappoport argues that both sides create false dichotomies to argue that you’re either for or against them. The dichotomies are designed to inflame, confuse, prevent the useful exchange of information and encourage the confused to follow unquestioningly one or the other side.
In some cases, the terms used in the debate are themselves triggering, which makes debate and information exchange confusing.
For example, the name of the US Department of Health and “Human Services” is considered so evil by some, due to the connotations of the term “human services“ to the historical slave trade, that reasonable, actionable discussions about whether to restrain, modify, change, shut down or appoint a fresh face to run the department get lost in a generic argument over historical data points.
The false dichotomies encourage us to believe in simple, absolute and sometimes demonizing answers crafted by others when the truth is always more complex. As a result, no solutions are discussed, no information is exchanges and nothing gets done.
Both sides are likely suffering from cognitive dissonance and are unable to summarize the other sides perspective in a way their opponent is able to understand.
A more nuanced assessment of RFK Jr is the November 16th, 2024 Orthodoxy post “How My Views on RFK Jr. Have Changed Over the Years,” which asks the question “As the Nominee for HHS, Will RFK be a Beacon of Hope or Another Letdown?”
The author, Franklin O'Kanu, begins with some interesting facts about vaccines and viruses and about how his perceptions regarding them have changed over the years.
He then moves on to compare Kennedy with the current office holder, Xavier Becerra, who was appointed by Joe Biden in 2021, whose tenure reflects the “centralized, heavy-handed approach to public health,” as opposed to Kennedy, who suggests “the potential for meaningful change.”
O’Kanu also talks about some of the changes he’s noted in Kennedy over the years and how Kennedy, “while admirable in some ways,” also operates in the US political system, a system “designed to limit real change.”
O’Kanu finishes up by noting Kennedy’s consensus position favoring existing climate change narratives, a policy the author is opposed to. He then draws some larger conclusions about Kennedy and the people Kennedy is currently aligned with.
He concludes by noting (quite sensibly) that Kennedy is potentially a good choice for HHS but perhaps not a good choice for another role.
O’Kanu also notes some concerns over the consensus positions held by Kennedy, his current patron (US President-elect Donald Trump) and other members of the incoming Trump team.
But O’Kanu informs. He doesn’t demonize.
This sort of research, the logical drawing of conclusions and the nuanced discussion of both the advantages and disadvantages of the actions deriving from those conclusions, are essential to understanding our current political environment.
Without this sort of discussion, the electorate is denied the independent understanding of current political issues and become unable to effectively hold public leaders to account.
And that’s perhaps the real reason why this sort of discussion is frowned upon in our current media landscape.
Elites don’t want our input. They want only our unquestioned obedience.
The Children’s Aid Society Screams for More Money from the Ontario Government.
Over the last year, the various “certified non-governmental child protection organizations in Ontario” operating under the banner of the Ontario Associations of Children's Aid Societies (OACAS), seem to have been engaged in a pitched battle with the Ontario provincial government over funding.
Which is kind of curious since, officially at least, they “operate independently” of the Ontario government and in that no parent wants their services as to take their child.
But it’s clear that the workers are exploiting parents and children who do not want these services as the service is to take a child away from the parent.
According to the “Children's Aid Society (Ontario)” Wikipedia post, while the various societies affiliated with the OACAS “receive funding from, and are under the supervision of the Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services,” they are also regarded as a non-governmental organization (NGO), which allows them to retain a large degree of “autonomy from interference or direction in their day-to-day operations.”
So the OACAS gets to have it both ways. They have government authority to enforce their mandates but aren’t tracked or held too accountable for their actions.
And they’re still asking the provincial government for money and a lot of what they’re looking for relates to an increasingly large mandate they themselves have lobbied for, using the false argument that parents and children need and want them.
As outlined on the OACAS website, part of their self appointed role is to “influence government decisions, funding, and public opinion,” to raise money for their members by “promoting child welfare issues.”
One of their most effective methodologies to fulfill the OACAS mandate is encouraging the legacy media to produce puff pieces like the November 13th, 2024 CTV News post, “Northern Ontario families surrendering custody of high-needs children to Children’s Aid Society,” to make the point that new financing is needed now, more than ever to tackle their bigger role.
It’s a bit hard to believe the OACAS stated position that a mother gave her child away but that is their position.
The July 25th, 2024 CTV News Ottawa post, “Youth receiving support from Children's Aid Society of Ottawa dies.” is another example of this sort of promotional campaign.
The post looks at the crisis of care through the lens of the recent strike action by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) Local 454 against the Ontario provincial government.
It argues that the failure to resolve the strike lies at the feet of the provincial government. The strike led directly to the death of at least one youth presently receiving support from CASO.
According to the post:
Talks fell through on Tuesday after CASO was unable to guarantee there would be no layoffs.
"The employer has continued to refuse to grant any layoff protection, with plans to layoff at least 20 workers," said Michele Thorn, president of OPSEU Local 454.
Local 454 contains 320 Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa (CASO) workers, paid by the provincial government to provide child care services in Ottawa.
As outlined in the July 31st, 2024 OPSEU press release, “Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa workers ratify new contract, vow to continue the fight against ongoing cuts,” the strike wound down on July 31st. According to the press release:
The pressures faced by CASO workers are not isolated to the Ottawa agency.
In the last six months alone, dozens of staffing cuts have swept across the province, impacting workers at London-Middlesex Children’s Aid Society, OPSEU/SEFPO Local 116; Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society, OPSEU/SEFPO Local 334; and Linck Child, Youth and Family Support Services, OPSEU/SEFPO Local 148.
“A record number of youth are slipping through the cracks due to a lack of resources to maintain wrap-around supports and the transition to independent living,” added Thorn. “We’re mourning loss after loss while crying out for change – all the while, the Ministry [of Children, Community and Social Services] maintains that the status quo works.”
So the battle continues and it seems to be all about money. The “status quo” can only change if more money is provided, all without asking parents if they want or need the service which is to take their child away.
The November 4th, 2024 Toronto Star post, “Ford government knew of children’s aid struggles one year before ministry audit of the sector,” notes the clear expansion of OACAS services into areas outside of their original mandate into areas where they were tasked with caring for “children with complex needs.”
In this role, CAS workers:
.. are being placed in unlicensed settings, such as hotels, due to a lack of suitable placements in the community.
As outlined in the Star post:
… children with complex needs in unlicensed settings are “often” in the care of CAS not because of protection concerns but because “their needs (are) not being able to be met in their home.”
Of course, the determination as to whether or not the children’s needs are being met in the family home is made by the the local CAS caseworker, not the parent or the guardian.
The various OACAS members aren’t even objecting to their new role. They’ve advocated for it in the past and now just want to be paid more money to do it.
Here’s an example of how the CSA perceives its current, ever growing mandate. Its the April 13th, 2018 OACAS post, “Understanding Child Welfare in Ontario: It Might Surprise You.”
The various Children’s Aid Societies in Ontario are forging the appearance that parents need and seek their services, meaning that parents give their children to this agency.
Such a notion is a deceitful measure as no parent gives their children willingly to this service.
The CAS in Ontario clearly exploit parents’ and children’s misfortunes and losses, one in her financial problems likely in efforts to defend from CAS intrusion, the other in a sad death.
Wicked CAS workers are on strike seeking more funding from the Ontario government and in reality do not care at all about the mother and child they refer to; they use these victims as pawns to con the public to pressure the Ford government to give the workers raises as they do admit in their statements.
No families ever want anything to do with CAS. No families want CAS to exist. Families do not want to be exploited for the CAS monster to get more money, but rather to fold up its agency and leave.
Maybe both sides in the current funding battle need to remember this. It’s not propaganda; its an accurate assessment of how parents feel.
